Ok guys time to plan for next year. Xmas is comming soon and i have alot of options to choose from for next years project. Im planning on going with a set of VT stg 1 cams and either P&P the heads or get new ones. I know some will say go S/C, i would love to but dont have enough for that set up yet. I will have 80k miles on my car when i put my car back on the road and i was woundering if doing the cams and heads will be ok? i am going to try and run that setup as along as i can until i get enough to get a forged shortblock(hopfully 2years if not less). Thats when the S/C will be put on and i will take it from their. What else could i do in the mean time(Pay check to pay check) if i go with cams and heads? What would be a good suspenssion ect ect.. stuff like that ?? all the other mods are in my sig. I also have shorty headers, 373s and an SCT programmer sitting in my room, waiting to be added on for next year.
Thanx for any oppinion. What are you all planning on for next season ???

IMO its not worth the extra 1500 or so for a decent set of heads just to go from 280-285 WHP to 300-310 WHP.
This doesn't even mention the major PITA (or expense if you have a shop do it) of removing the headers and pulling the heads to do the swap.
BTW, I defiantly would not be looking at heads/cams when you are still using the stock exhaust manifolds.

OOOooohhhh yeah baby... BIG plans... starting dec 1st, a i've got a big project taking off... total $35+K
Plans as follows...
will be buying a 2004 Yellow Gt covert Dec 1st,
Dec 2nd new 2000 cobra R body kit and steeda functional race wing will be installed.
As per previous posts i'll be ordering a Twin Turbo kit sometime in the 1st week of dec.
Along with the TT i'll be getting a custom short block, T5 trasmision and rear end from Roush.
as soon as the kit arrive they'll be put in and i'm hoping to have a 850hp beast by spring!!!

it'll all be worth the wait though when spring arrives
