Ok guys time to plan for next year. Xmas is comming soon and i have alot of options to choose from for next years project. Im planning on going with a set of VT stg 1 cams and either P&P the heads or get new ones. I know some will say go S/C, i would love to but dont have enough for that set up yet. I will have 80k miles on my car when i put my car back on the road and i was woundering if doing the cams and heads will be ok? i am going to try and run that setup as along as i can until i get enough to get a forged shortblock(hopfully 2years if not less). Thats when the S/C will be put on and i will take it from their. What else could i do in the mean time(Pay check to pay check) if i go with cams and heads? What would be a good suspenssion ect ect.. stuff like that ?? all the other mods are in my sig. I also have shorty headers, 373s and an SCT programmer sitting in my room, waiting to be added on for next year.

Sounds like you've got the same idea i've got. I was gonna do VT stage II n/a cams, but looks like I'm gonna be goin' with stage 1's instead, along with ported PI heads from steen racing, pi intake manifold, tb/plenum, headers, and a NX wet kit.

Once I get all that taken care of I can start working on some appearance mods...

P&P won't help you out. I think new fox lake(etc) heads/cams will give you a bit...but seriously, it's a 2v. Run the physics...looks like you've gotta force that **** in there.

Let's see here... what are the benefits of a 4 valve? Better airflow. Why do you port and polish? Better airflow. You're not going to reach 4v territory with a P&P job on a set of 2v heads, true. But you are going to increase your flow numbers... which IS going to help with power.

Edit: Besides, I don't have the coin to buy a supercharger. Maybe down the road a bit, but right now I need to deal with my NPI heads/intake/cams (they suck).

my shortblock was ordered and is going in next month. should be ready in january.

my christmas gift to myself is going to be finally getting all the parts i have laying around installed. should see a nice jump from ~230ish rwhp to ~360ish rwhp.

as for next year...gonna save my money some more and i think im planning on building up my rear end and improving traction by spring break...if all goes well. either that or gettin a saleen body kit. or building the engine. im really not sure whech avenue i wanna take after my stuff is installed this december.

I'd put your #'s around 380 with your freeflowing exhaust. I'm rockin 352 with an otherwise bonestock GT.
