Possible Sensor Issue?

Possible Sensor Issue?
This evening after I had gotten off of work, my car acted up on me. I started it off just fine, but then the idle started riding really rough. After about two minutes of it being on, it died on me. I attempted to restart it, it started over fine with a little bit difficulty but then died out again. Tried it again, this time I attempted to gave it a little bit of gas and it seemed a little fine, was up to about 2RPM but then shot down to .5 when it killed out. On the drive home, I was able to get it about 60MPH fine without pushing on the gas too much. If it would get a little above 2RPM then it would start to feel like it would die. After I was done driving it, I picked up the throttle from the engine itself not through the pedal and it was fine. I tried it again through the pedal and acted up. So what could the possible issue be? I can not really check anything else further now because its the middle of the night. I had noticed when I had first left, there was a little bit of water from the exhaust when it was first started up. But after about 15 minutes of driving, there was none and no white smoke, so I figured the headers are fine. Could it possibly be a sensor or something?

Check your engine bay closely for a vacuum hose that might have came lose, cracked or other-wise f'ed up.
The water from the tail pipes is just condensation and your gas pedal is connected to the same thing that you were pushing under the hood via a cable.
