Default Steeda Catted X vs. Mac O/R Prochamber

I'm gonna try not to make this your typical midpipe thread. I'm comparing both at the moment to go along with the Steeda catback thats already on the car. I've listened to clips of both and I generally like the sound of both. Performance really isn't an issue I wouldn't think. There are a few pros and cons to both but one really hasn't stood out over the other yet for me to choose yet. My question is... what is something that would sway me to either one?

Nice post count, lol

Do you want cats or not? Whats the deal with emissions in your area? If theres no difference in your preference and emissions doesnt matter, just do the o/r prochamber. If performace isnt an issue I think the prochamber will sound better.

If I remember correctly steeda catbacks are made by borla. I have a borla cat back on my car, and with the slp o/r x the sound is just right. With the catted x I had it was a tad too quiet but still sounded great.

I have no idea if either come in stainless steel, but to me, it is worth the extra money to get something I know will last AND have resale value should I decide to sell it, look into that too...

I know the Steeda catted X comes in stainless steel... and I know that the MAC Prochamber did come in stainless steel but I read somewhere that they no longer make that? Maybe someone can confirm me on that. I would personally prefer stainless steel but just seeing if there were anything else that I overlooked to pick one over the other.

Oh, and emissions pretty much don't exist in TN. Most guys can run pretty much what they want here. My only thought on anything O/R is that the cobra is gonna get attention anyways... should I go for an O/R cuz its just gonna attract more attention to the car.

I think stainless steel is only worth it for the TIPS, worth the extra money that is.

I guess it depends on where you live. The salt on the roads up here in the NE during winter will chew up an exaust system relatively quickly. I dont drive regularly during the winter since I have a beater. Buy you can only look at your stang sitting in the driveway for so long before you take it out...

heres the stainless prochamber

prochamber
