Default Magnaflow vs Magnapack

After hearing so many good things about magnaflow cat-backs and how loud and deep they are I decided to go with them instead of a SLP LMII or Flowmaster. My question is: What is the difference between the regular Magnaflow cat-back and the Magnapack cat-back? I would rather a deep/loud setup then something very loud. Also are these cat-backs both bolt-in or will I need to cut/weld to get them in?

Both are bolt in, might need some spot welds to keep in place. If you want deep get magnaflows. I have magnapacks and theyre super loud but not very deep at all.

Magnaflow DEEP and loud (because of the chambered muffler design)
Magnapack LOUD and deep (because of the straight through design)

How much louder is the magnaflow than stock. I want something louder than stock (by a lot) but I would rather it deep. Is the magnapack almost too loud? I think the regular Magnaflow is what I'm looking for.

Magnaflows aren't chambered actually. Even their normal mufflers are strait through design...they just have alot more sound supressing material around the strait tube going through them.

Flowmasters are chambered, MAC are chambered, Spintechs too aswell I believe. Magnaflows catch phrase is "wide open performance" which refers to their strait-through design.

About are they louder than stock, When i got my magnapacks in the first time i drove my car i was kinda pissed off. I couldn't hear a damn thing and it was almost obnoxious. It sounded awesome but just cruising the loudness just started to get to me. After a few drives i got used to it. Now i absolutely love them.

When I talked to the guy at MagnaFlow, he said they offer the same performance and the only difference was that the Magnapaks are much louder. I told him I use the phone quite a bit for work and stuff and he recommended not getting the Magnapacks. So I went regular and it wasn't too bad. Now that I have the blower, I don't/can't use my phone for work and my family/friends hate when I talk to them from my car as it is "somewhat noisy" they say. [8D]

Alright it seems the Magnaflows are better suited for me as I want a deep sounding exhaust that is not too loud. Are Magnaflows the deepest they get with a stock-h and stock headers?
