Default Funny Story, NOT!

only 4.6 related because it happened to a 4.6 =P

So, for the longest I've had weird start up problems, all my gauges would go full, after i turned the key to 'on' and the engine cranked, just as if I reset the computer. Yet I still had my radio stations. I let this problem go on for far too long. I had a feeling it was my battery shorting, and causing my ecu to trip. Imagine, everyday, the ecu having to relearn your shifts, and driving behavior. My mustang got some bad gas mileage, ran half-assed, and shifted poorly, due to this problem. It occured every startup, I rarely drive more than 15 miles..

So to make the already long story short, I went to advanced auto, got it tested, it failed, I replaced my battery, and wallah, my gauges went up to their normal settings, rather then hitting FULL! My mustang is really driving better, and the shifts have become smoother since its able to learn itself (she has a shift kit). No joke, I think this is what caused my 2nd tranny mount to break. My shifts were retarded with the battery short, it felt like it dropped/kicked into gear, rather then shifting.
