Kinda dumb question but if i install an OR mid pipe, dont use MIL delete and get a check engine light. What would my car do?

if you get your car tuned the tuner can delete the rear 02's so you dont need mils, when we did exhaust on my buddies cobra without mils the car hestated then hauled but, then get got the mils on and no more hestitation. Im sure every car is different

my mils dont work. The car idles like **** and occasionally dies but runs ok otherwise

So i can just find someone with a tuner and have them delete it for me? i am trying to not buy a tuner. i dont have the $$

handheld tuners are car specific, you can have a chip burnt for your car by a tuner though, im not sure which is cheaper
