Speed limiter or not a SOHC 4.6 is more so drag/power limited, thus why it seems to take days to go from 120mph to 140mph.
Although I do belive the limiter on a 99-04 GT is around 160mph.
And Boltt you may brag but you didn't hit 161mph. GPS averaged speeds are very inaccurate, the couple feet that a GPS is accurate to equals major deviations when calculating rate of speed.
