RE: tranny question
I am sorry, but you didn't answer in the form of a question!
Puncuation please!!
So your problem is that when it is cold outside, shifting from first into second makes a grinding noise. Also, occasionally, it just pops out of gear?
Is that accurate?

RE: tranny question
Mine grinds when cold a little, but is fine when warmed up. Nature of the ATF filled manual tranny (even my F250 transmissions do this). I've never had one pop out, and that sounds like the TSB that was released from Ford...or you're just not getting it all the way into gear.

RE: tranny question
Mine was the same way. I have the 3650 tranny which has a TSB on the synchros. Before I got mine replaced, I changed the fluid to Royal Purple Synchromesh and only filled it up to 3.25 quarts (recommended by Tremec in the TSB) and my problem went away. You could try changing the fluid, it may help ya out....
