Default Just purchased, tune up items?

I just bought an 04 GT. I want to get a full tune up. Can someone give me a list of what i should have done? I plan on using the dealership, unless someone knows of a place in the DFW area that they would recommend.

Well a 2004 shouldn't need much of anything... Except maybe oil change and brakes? How many miles are on it?

It's got 70K miles on it, and it's running a little rough. Besides, I want to make sure it's in as good as shape as possible. So I'm going to change plugs, belt and so on to be safe.

Jesus thats quite a bit for an 04. Well congrats on the purchase. Does the tranny perform alright? Shifts smoothly, stays in gear, clutch doesnt slip? Definitely do plugs, rubber boots (aka wires), the belt, check your rear diff seal and make sure she's not burning/losing any oil, and get the rotors and pads checked. I'm guessing its going to be your daily driver, so wouldnt hurt to clean/change the filters for some extra mpg. Hope that helps

Yes, I know, but I got it for a good price and it's just a pleasure car. I've got another for daily driving. I'm most concerned with performance and longevity.

Change oil and filters. Mobil 1 synthetic is what I use and I think it is the most commonly used here.

this doesnt have much to do with a tune up....but you need to do something about the exhaust...atleast ditch the stock mufflers!! then it will sound more like a mustang....they certainly dont come stock sounding like one =/ ...oooohhhh...and...congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the world of 4.6 power, and to the forums!! =]

Yea if its just a pleasure car, do all the tasteful mustang mods. Exhaust, rims, maybe lower, some ground effects, etc etc. And as far as the tune up, do plugs wires oil and filters, and for everything else; If its not broke, dont fix it.

For some reason my sig doesn't show everything. It is lowered and does not have stock exhaust. It sounds great.
