Uninstall supercharger?
What's up guys,
I want to uninstall my Vortech Supercharger so that I could send it in for service. Has anyone else did this and what would be the best procedure of getting this done. Instructions would be great. Thanks

RE: Uninstall supercharger?
Eh not having put one on I can only say with some certainty... Disconnect both air hoses, remove belt, (or just loosen it so you can move the blower around), remove the 3-4 bolts holding the supercharger to its bracket and lift it up a little bit, disconnect the oil feed line first, and be sure you hold it high so oil doesn't drain out... tip the blower around a little to get the last of the oil out the drain line then disconnect that, holding it up again so oil doesn't drain out. After that, send the blower in... the car obviously won't be driveable while the blower is out.

Getting to the tensioner for the belt is a complete and total PITA.
Other than that, just take the intake/exhaust off, unbolt the blower, drain the line and undo the line, and thats it.
