The lack of power when compared to other V8 engines will cause an excessive amount of money to be wasted on it in attempts to increase speed to full potential.

Having a 98....I goofed on my log in lol. I have had little to no problems with my car. It has been lowered. K&N Air change over. Throttle body change over, Did some ignition work to it.....but other than that it has ran like a charm. I find that it has more power than I need and still smokes some of the newer stangs on the road with lil to no trouble.

So from me...I have experienced no real problems.

That problem you're describing is most common on 96-98's. Although whenever your intake manifold has the plastic crossover you're at risk.

99convertstang- is your car pi swapped? if it isn't then you must be running into some really crappy drivers. Either that or you're talking about new edge six bangers.
