if possible go for a 99-04 gt. they are PI mustangs and they have more power than the 96-98 gt's which are non-PI. i don't know all the differences between non pi and pi so im not going pretend i do. i'm pretty sure the pi mustangs have better heads which creates more power.

btw PI stands for performance improved.

He might like the body style better. If I were you I'd look for a 96-98 Cobra, they have much more power and awesome. I'm wishing mine was a 98 Cobra

PI have different cams, intake, and heads, and also different shaped pistons to offset compression(am I right???) and then different manual trany after 01 and a half and above.

Check the Post Dispatch. I found my 99GT Vert with 63K miles for $9K in Mehlville. I live in Joplin, but grew up in Ballwin. I found the local newspaper to be better prices. BTW - if you like the style, the new edge stangs far outperform the sn95.

Yeah Z,get a 99-04 GT or a 94-95 GT rather than a 96-98.Any Cobra would be fine too.
