Speaker Question
I have a 1999 gt with a mach 460 stereo, i am planning on putting in some after market speakers, but i am curious what size speakers i would need for this. does anyone know what sizes the speakers are for the mach 460 stereo for the front and back speakers?

I believe they are the same as in the base sound system, 6x8s in the front and rear. POLK makes some very excellent 5x7s I believe that fit with a little modification/bracketing, and they have a stupendous line of tweeters as well to fit the A-pillar mounts. I'm no power user and I'm fairly satisfied with the MACH, but if I were ever to redo my system I'd go Polk all the way.

when i redid my speakers i used infiniti kappa components, 5x7 in the rear and 5 1/4 in the front. then i put 2 JL 12s in the trunk for some boom boom, but the stock speakers are all 5x7 if memory serves correct.

I bought some MB Quart 6 1/2 component speakers for the doors on my previous car. Just talked to the local car stereo shop and they said they could fit my 6 1/2's in the Stang (thats a relief). I have two JL W6's and a JL 1000watt mono sub amp. I need to get a pair of 5x7's for the rear and I'm thinking of getting the JL Audio ZR series component speakers. Has anyone heard them yet?
