Default MGW shifter HELP!!!

just got my shifter in today and i was wondering if i need to use the grommet?

yes that bushing needs to go back on the new shifter just like it came off the old one. i doubt having a 3650 tranny makes a difference. it should say so in the directions, but yes mine said it MUST go back on!

It not hard to put in. Just get one side of the grommet in the boot then kind of twist it in there. I thought it was simple, if you have trouble just use some kid of lube. It's an important part beacuse the neck of the shifter is less diameter than he hole cut in the inner boot.

yes make sure you put it on. if you dont your shifter will be very loose and can damage your transmission.

if i forgot to put one washer on where the mgw bolts to tranny am i going to be OK?>?
