The manual seems to recommend 87 octane. Am curious what other owners are using. Thanks for replying.

Yeah, unless you have the timing adjusted then use 87 or you will have problems down the road

I use 93. I tried 87 and 89 and the car seemed to pull timing alot. Could feel a flat spot under acceleration. When I wen't back to 93 the car was fine. I only have an x-pipe and catback[sm=smiley24.gif]

I have a MAM & using anything under 89 gives me a ton of nasty pinging.

If you have a timing adjuster or programmer advance your timing to 14 degrees butt you must run 93 or 94 afterwards, you will be very surprised, that tune alone will drop ets sharply trust me.

For the most part... eventually running any thing above 89 for an extended period of time has been known to burn out cats and O2 sensors. Unburned fuel is a biatch!

damn. i filled my tank up with 93. parents told me it's best to put 93 in it. my old instructor has a gt and he said to put 93 in it, and a friend of mine who owned one told me 93. the dealer said it was running on 87 when they had it there and 87 was more than fine. should i stay at 93 or go to 87? will it fvck up my car switching grades like that? i've only filled it up like once with 93. i was thinking 89 just to be safe. i want the expert opinions here. should i stay with 93 now that i've already filled her up? don't want to fubar it going all the way down to 87. should i put 87 in it and save myself a buck at the pumps, or should i throw in 89? i plan on upgrading the exhaust, that's about it.... for now at least...
