How can removing the catalytic converters affect the front O2 sensor? They go on the two rear sensors.

It stands for "Malfunction Indicator Light." When you remove your cats, the O2 sensors throw an emmisions code that say the cats arent doing their job. MIL Eliminators "eliminate" the light. They basically cancel the signal from the rear O2 sensors and tell the computer that the O2 sense that everything is okay.

Some people refer it to a Check Engine Light. Pretty much the computer in the car will return codes if something is out of wack. Like removing your CATs. If it does, then your Check engine light or MIL will light up to notify you that you car has problems and to get it fixed.

anyone know what the resistance of a MIL is? Hey clix if you have a Multimeter and perhaps know how to use it. You should find out the resistance.

The mils are cheap anyway, no reason to fab up something and go thru the hassle when you can just get a set.

If you have any extra cash, find out what your local shop tunes with and get a handheld of that brand. The handheld will allow you to setup many different parameters, including turning off your rear 02 sensors.

The rear sensors only dectect a difference between your exhaust before and after the cats, making sure that the cats are still present/functional. The front o2s are used by the computer for the tune.
