I own 1999 Ford Mustang GT. I was wondering what everyone thought about superchargers. I was wondering what mods to do prior to adding a supercharger and what brand of sc i should get.
If you want a superior supercharger then get a Kenne Bell.
I would kill for one. Seriously....
Exactly what are you basing this on?

After having done the research, what I found was the only way they are "superior" is they spend alot more of your money, and they make alot more torque down low, while sacrificing power up top....
+1. I'm with 2000GT4.6, so long as he doesn't throw me overboard. Everybody sucks KB dick because they put out crazy hp down low. I hope you can get traction with that power. I can drive 40 mph in 2nd gear and will spin my tires like crazy @ 40 mph 3,000 rpm in 2nd.

Way to be a read-a-zine driver...

Edit: brandsman78: Post somethign worthwhile...All you do is post crap. As far as I know you drive a cavalier with a giant ricer wing...

I would save the extra grand and buy a vortech or procharger kit. I'm seriously considering buying a charger this winter. Nitrous is awesome when the bottle's full, I hate not having the power all the time, it's just not as fun.

and I am supposed to belive that this post is worth while?!?! haha I dont know what your problem is, but your lack of knowledge concerning kb's draws your opinion into question... guess wut I can make a cobalt spin 2 second if i wanted to, doesnt mean you have too much power just that you dont know how to let out the clutch where you dont loose traction... I drive a stage 2 roush BTW and Im planin on the 2.2 kb sometime soon

I went with the vortech because the car is simply faster in a drag race, and it was far cheaper. My vortech + all my boltons and cams cost less than what the KB kit from MPH was going to cost... Simply no comparason.

yes as far from mph - hell no - they are way high in price!

hey 2000 - what do you think about twin screw vs procharger vs vortech as far as 1/4 times go? - we have had a general consensus that twin screw makes better times - bc it makes almost full power from 2k-6k as to where the centris dont start make full power untill about 3500... I'd like you to look at the new 2.2 dynos and see those power and torque curves - I used to be all about prochargers but now I am a chnaged man... these new twins use alot less power... but like you said the vortech and procharger are going to be the price winners no question... I mean all of these systems with same mods and power levels are within 3 10ths of eachother
