okay i installed a steeda short shifter with a mach 1 ****... the thing is when every i shift like im racing it gets real hot like its been in the sun all day. What could be going here? it didnt do that with stock shifter. please help

When installing the shifter, it does not require you to use any insulaters between the handle and the shifter as the stock unit does. This will allow haet, noise, etc to conduct in the manner that you are seeing.

It is normal.

Just put a sock over it then shift. Its a soft cool shifter, best of both worlds

if the **** is made of metal, it is most likely absorbing the heat more than the other ****.

mine does the same thing..i have the steeda short throw with a billet **** and if you kinda run it warm and let it sit for a minute and get in it and touch it..it gets really HOT...need to run me an ac vent to it so it can blow on it on cool it down...lol
