it is a pita to keep a black car clean, but its almost worth it just to see it shine for that small time it is clean. black just looks the best imo. too bad it gets dirty so easy. probably going to get a different color next time. [&o]

lol damn them pollen spore things. I was washing my car one day and as I worked my way back the wind picked up and pollenated the front end. So I went back and so did the wind. that was quite frustrating.

I don't seem to have much of a problem. Black should be a choice only for us O.C.D. , **** retentive perfectionists. Of course I wash mine twice a week anyway. And when I say "wash" I mean you could eat off the damn thing. It's a bitch to keep clean, but nothing looks better than a black car. It's faster, too. Everyone knows that. Followed of course by red and yellow....

meguiars is good stuff - nanowax works well also - but for that super gloss you need to go over your wax with a glaze - like ICE- you can get it at walmart - but it wont last thru a rain

After owning a black show truck for the past 5 years .. and painting it 3 times... each time a different color black .. let me tell you .. DO NOT BUY A BLACK CAR .. the only way it will ever stay clean is if you spend a **** ton of time waxing it ... then polishing it .. then covering it and keeping it in a trailor ... other than that .. your best bet is to wash it once a week with and twice a year have it waxed with a nice paste wax ... in the meantime .. at least once a month keep a nice synthetic wax on it and use a polish every time to get a nice deep gloss finish .. there are tons more I can tell you .. but I don't have all year to write on this post ...

You know .. I kind of miss having a truck ... esp a truck that intimidates ricers enough to not wanna race !!!! But then I hop in my drop top stang .. crank it up .. lay down 100 ft of black while the wind is blowiing in my face ... and think to myself .. what a beautiful thing ..

I used to own a black car and what worked for me was keeping spray detailer and a terry cloth towel on me at all times. Every morning before work i would go out and go over the car and even a second time on my lunch break or after work. Yes it may sound crazy but it worked for me and my car always looked like it was just detailed. Lots of work but the results of staying on top of it will pay off in the end. I always tell people if you want a black car be prepared to put some time into it cause your going to need it.
