Does anybody know the 1/4 mile times of a mustang GT (99-04) with a Vortech s/c and the time with a saleen s/c? Thanks

Your never going to get a decent answer with a question like that. Theres WAYYY too many variables, enough that even a noob like myself can tell ya that.

well im not really a noob, i had to restart because i forgot the password on the old account and just moved to VA, so new email, cant get the password reset. What im trying to ask is how much of a difference is there in acceleration between a centerfigural supercharger (vortech) and a twin-screw (Saleen) type supercharger? I know that the twin-screw can give higher boost at lower RPM's but is that going to make a noticeable difference in acceleration?

Thanks

the centri will make less low end power then the twin screw or roots style blower (saleen type I believe), but will make higher numbers more often then not. Although, I haven't seen many prochargers make the power the KB's are...

If you want blow your socks off low end torque and horsepower. Go with a Roots or twin screw blower. Look at my dyno graph - I have a Roots blower like the saleen. If you look at a procharger or a vortech - they make great power, but its almost like a turbo where most of the power kicks in at around 4k on the tach...

from what ive heard the centri will do better in the 1/4 mile.....but think about it like this, its much easier to get traction with a centri than it is with a twin screw because of the instant boost that comes with the twin screw(unless you can launch your car like CODE3). but for around town drivin when you want to feel your 400+hp all the time then get the twin screw

The Saleen blowers (99-04) are basically a V6 blower. The M90's will get SPANKED by a Vortech at 8+ psi.
