Default sohc vs dohc off the line

i've heard this from a few poeple now and was wondering, why does a SOHC motor feel more torquey right off the line over a DOHC motor? does it take longer for both cams in the single head to get to its full potential or something?

but code correct me if im wrong... N/A 2v vs N/A 4v... even though the peak torque wont be until a higher rpm... the 4v will atleast match the 2v in the lower rpms, right?

All the dynos ive seen, I have seen it to be that way.

Yes, it just feels different. The rpms range on the 4V is much wider so since you can turn more rpms than the 2V, the 2V will feel more torquey down low.

I agree, they are really more or less the same at low rpms, just the 4V feels somewhat weak at low rpms because they are so much stronger above 4k than below 4k.
