1999 GT vs. 350z
 

hey guys i normally post in the 5.0 section so i don't know any of you guys but i got a question. a 1999 GT vs. a 350z (not sure what year). the Gt only has exhaust otherwise stock and the 350z is bone stock. who would win in a drag at the 1/4? what do the cars normally run stock? and would it be a close race? thanks guys!

Both cars are good for a 14 flat time slip. Drivers race completely with a .0001% edge towards the GT since it gained 3whp[&:]

Well it depends on the year of the 350z.. if its a 2004 anniversary then it has 300 hp stock. The basic 350z still has 287 hp stock. It also weighs just about as much as a mustang gt which only has 260 hp stock. Mustang gt has a bit more torque tho however. Either way I think id put my money on the 350z. But it would be a pretty close race for sure.

depends on tranny too if they were both auto then 350 > mustang.. gotta love fords crappy aode's..=/ if its manual it's a driver's/traction race still i think the 350 has an advantage tho

of course its going to probably be done at a track. the stang is a 5 spd, and the 350z is either automatic or manual, its the auto shifter thing without a clutch. the driver of the stang is more aggressive then the driver of the 350z, but i'd have to say the driver of the stang is better cause its his car and the 350z is his moms car that his bro would be driver. older bro has the 99GT and the younger bro who will be driving the 350z has a honda prelude riced out that already got beat by the stang. so its pretty much just a family fun thing, but its still some quality entertainment. sorry i didn't clarify this earlier, so what do you guys think now?
