Default motive gears?

what do you guys think of them im liking the idea of 3.90's cause 4.10's will be too high rpms on the interstate and i drive on it pretty much 40 min a weekend and more on holidays.

and im talking when correctly, not when you took it to a ****ty shop

thanks

if 4.10 is to high then so is 3.90 - there is basically little difference.. so why not get the tad bit more ummph for roughly the same gas mileage...

4.10 really dont effect your mpg more than 3-5.. if at all - your driving habits are a much larger influence than the gear itself

Usually the N/A guys prefer the 4.10's and report a 1-2 mpg decrease.

Realistically, I get better gas mileage in my expedition than my 3.73 w/ boost.

I think they may be sugarcoating it a bit...

On straight highway driving I acutally gained about 1 MPG with the vortech (21.5), but in city driving is horrid now.

Real easy to see single digits with spirited in city driving. -

my GT when I had it, I saw no difference between the 3.27's and the 3.90's I had... until I punched it atleast.

The 3.90's aren't as hard out of first gear then the 4.10's and they have more pull up top then the 4.10's.

I decided to go with 3.73 Motives and love them. As many have stated on here before the Motives are just as good as the FRPP gears, it all comes down to the install.

differnce between 3.90s and 4.10s are 100 rpms, my buddy gets 21 mpg with 4.10s and a t45 tranny, or about 1 better then my stock V-6

if you have a 01.5+ though you might want to look at even 4.30s

reason i was looking at 3.90's was i didnt like the idea of a constant 2k rpms at 80mph but it sounds like they arent much different.

oh and i got a friend whose *** i have to kick on the 1/4 when the tracks open and im the underpowered one

there modular motors, they will be fine turning 2400 at 80 with 4.10s, or 2800 at 80 with 4.30s even
