Default BBK or Accufab

Ok i know u get alot of these, because i ve read all of them thats been out there. My first question is what do the throttle body and plenum actually do to increase power. Next i have found two throttle body and plenum combos that i really like and would like to here what u guys think about them in style and performance for there $100 price difference. Im 21 in college and broke, so is the $100 more worth it, cause i really like the look of the BBK.

they are just bigger thus allowing more air into the engine finally resulting in a slight horsepower gain. i went with accufab personally because it looks better and sposedly gives more horses. If ur tight on budget get the BBK because the 1-2 hp gain with the accufab wouldnt even be noticeable

IMO, the difference of 2 horses does not warrant the extra $100 or so expense. You will not feel that little of a difference between the two, and you probably will not be satisfied with the gain you get anyway, since the 2V responds so poorly to mods. While you will probably notice some difference, the extra money for the Accufab isn't wort it unless you really like the polished look and plan on doing shows or something.

As sinister said, the difference is like 1-2HP. Thats definitely not worth it if you ask me, so I personally bought the BBK Plenum and 75MM TB for $300 together. The Accufab is a better looking piece, but you wont tell the difference of 1-2 extra horses. Just my opinion.

If you're broke get the bbk. I got my accufab off ebay, thats the only reason I have it. Id never spend 450 on it, thats almost a new set of wheels. There was one, ONE, test done that I know of which was somewhat valid and reliable that showed the accufab coming out on top by 1 or 2 hp. The difference is so negligible it could simply be the margin of error in the dyno or any other little difference. The real key to the test would be to do 100+ dyno pulls with each combo and see if the accufab always holds the advantage...

So, get which ever fits your budget and go 75mm
