What RPM should I be at when launching my almost stock 04 GT? I'm guessing around 2000.
This is with factory street tires on the street.

With my 275/35/18s I've been practicing launching at 3000 on the street while slipping it a bit. First run down the poorly prepped track I tried this...didn't get a timeslip but I had to have a 3 second+ 60'[&:]

I usually go around 2500 with some clutch slippage and a little tire spin.

Depends on your technique. I do well with 1500-2000 rpm...no bog, no spin...just headlights in the mirror.

depends. if it's colder outside i'll go way down, 1500 to 2000, if it's hot outside i'll go 2500-3000. u just need to practice launching to find the sweetspot for you. i go wot out of the whole, so i do spin sometimes. sometimes u can get a really good launch around 3000 and just feather it out of the hole.

it seems like no matter where i launch at i get excessive wheel spin unless i feather the clutch out with street tires and the cold/bumpy street in MI. start at 1500 and work your way up untill you get a balance of feather and wheel spin
