Default Question about a diablo tune my a 01 GT

I've installed a diablo prediator tuner in my car,the problem i'm having with it is the rev limiter and shift points. My car has an auto trans and i've set the Wide open throttle shift point at 5750 rpm and left the factory rev limit of 6050.The problem is i still hit the factory rev limit every time i run it hard, unless i back off the throttle a little bit before it hits the 6050.
Anyone have any idea's where i should have my limits set?Any help would be great.

Patrick

I had that exact same issue. Just raise the Rev Limiter another 100 RPM over stock, and it will never happen again.

Ever since I did that, It has never bounced at all.

Ya it seems like if i back off the throttle just a little bit before it reaches the limiter it would shift fine. What amount of timing did you dial in your 01?I put 4 deg from 2k-4k and left 4k-7k at stock specs.I also leaned the fuel mixture .5 between 2k-4k.Sound anything like yours?

i'm at a full 10 degrees throught the band. I run premium fuel and have no pinging whatsoever. I did lean out the fuel mixture one setting less than stock which i believe is .5 but i don't remember for sure.

I'd fill up with premium, then advance the timing to 8.5 and go from there. See how high you can go without pinging. Thats what I did.
I got all the way up to 10, and let me tell you, its well worth it. Car pulls alot harder.

I wouldn't fool around with the air/fuel at all unless you have a wideband.

Be careful.

I was told the factory timing was 10deg,so then i went up 2 deg's more and no ping,so then i went up another 2 deg's so i should be around 14(but i'm not sure). As for rich or lean i was told with running alittle more timing from 2k-4k that i should back the rich the car up alittle,so i went back to .5
I need to get it on the dyno and tune it that way, asap.
