I bought my cobra trans today.

The dude I bought it from just bought a "mustang" dyno. WTF is the difference in a "mustang" dyno and a "dyno jet"???
A mustang dyno loads the car differently than a dynojet. On a mustang dyno they input your cars weight, along with a bunch of other stuff (wind resistance etc) and try to simluate the dyno run from what the car would acutally be doing on the highway from a 4th gear pull.

Mustang dynos read alot lower than dynojets if both are setup correctly. For reference, my car make 38x WHP on a mustang dyno, which is around 415-420 WHP on a dynojet. This is why I always state my car is making AROUND 420 whp.

You should be seeing around 250 to 260 WHP with your current setup, probably closer to the 250 side with your car not having the standard CAI/inlet/tb/plenum mods.
jlt cai
75mm tb
bbk plenum

I would say you are safe to about 420 WHP on a dynojet. 400 WHP on a mustang dyno would be around 440 WHP on a dynojet, which IMO is starting to push things a bit.

Geetee: even with your intake boltons, there is simply zero chance that you can make 30X whp with your car's current setup.

Did your shop do a before and after run? They arn't showing a massive difference are they?

Also, unless you plan on running a lower octane fuel for DD there is no such thing as a "race tune" on a N/A boltons only 2v car.

Before this goes any farther, your not saying it makes 30x at the flywheel right? This is supposedly what the dyno sheet reads?

I can totally believe it if your doing the 15 percent drivetrain loss from your dyno sheet. Just never the acutal dyno reading at the wheels.

After reading all. It is high IF it's RWHP. I think that's 304 at the crank, then it's understandable. After all my bolt ons, minus head/cams were originally 248RWHP. After the SC and retune I was at 360rwhp 405 crank. (conservative tune) All I can say is 3 more dyas till my new numbers WEATHER permitting.

Full bolt on GT with a pi swap and stage 1 cams and my #'s are in my sig. I will really hate my life if I spent all this money and your making a 20RWHP then me.
