Default Race Steering Wheel and MGW.

Well, I finally got my Ford Racing steering wheel in yesterday along with my MGW short throw shifter. Decided to give it a try and install them. Both installs went flawlessly and only took me about a couple of hours to do both. I put the shifter in while I was waiting on the reserve battery for the airbag to drain. Played it safe since it took me about 45 minutes or so to get the new shifter in. Once that was done I started on the steering wheel install. I need to redo it as I got the new wheel a touch off center, I will fix that tonight.

All in all I highly recommend the MGW and the FR Steering wheel. The new steering wheel feels awesome.

Agreed. I now hate the feel of every other steering wheel.

Man I was nervous as hell when messing with that airbag.

me too, I just knew it was going to blow up in my face. Luckily it didn't. I would have hated to have gone back in the house (after I regained consciousness) and allowed my girlfriend the dreaded "I told you so".

can you post a pic of the wheel installed? What are the differences between that wheel and the stocker?

I deffinatly want to get a different stearing wheel. You will have to post a how-to on switching the stearing wheel.

here is a how to with pics... CLICK ME

The wheel is thicker thus easier to grip... If I wanted to keep my airbag I would have switched to that wheel.. It's a very good wheel... But since I didnt I just went with the momo trek-R.

Hey Shadowfoxx, post some pictures of your momo wheel installed. I want to buy a sparco wheel. I hate the stock wheel its way to big!! Plus I want to put a spacer on it to bring it closer to my body.

MediaMike which wheel did you get? I hope you got the FR500 wheel!!

Did you get this wheel?

Or this one?
