They can run 13's...you just need the right conditions as with any car and one hell of a driver....I ran it 4 out of 5 times with a 2000 GT....Try launching it at about 1500-1700 rpm and power shift it...

That article is so horrible about the Cobra vs SS on this site.

I laughed and quit reading after they claimed the Cobra out handled the SS and the SS only put down 268RWHP.

If my SS put down 268RWHP I would take it back to GM for a new LS1. I've NEVER heard of anyone putting down less than 280RWHP.

And about a time slip....If i thought it would be that important I would have saved it.....but it's not to me.

Horsepower t.v. dynoed a 98 SS and it only put down 270 horsepower to the rear wheels....and last week they dynoed an 03 cobra which put down 364 to the wheels....MM&FF dynoed an 04 cobra vert that put down 386 hp to the rear wheels

So what i'm trying to say here is this...Not every car is gonna dyno the same....Some will be considerably stronger....268 is a great number for an SS. 240 for the mustang is what's really screwed up...it really makes you question whether or not ford really "Fixed" the problem with the 99-01 cobras.

How is 268 great for the SS when the stock WS6 puts out 325? Thats about 290 to 300 to the rear wheels.

The Camero is supposed to be the most powerful of the Fbodies.

Damn.

Not every car is going to dyno the same, +- 15hp is generally accepted.

But anything less than 290 out of a M6 SS is a joke.
