1.Remove the coolant bottle cap and fill the degas bottle to the add coolant line.
Install the cap.

2.Using a funnel, add coolant keeping the level of coolant in the funnel at 1/4 full.

3.Squeeze upper cooling system hose 5 times. Bubbles may appear in the funnel as air exits the system.

4.Start the engine and run for 5 minutes while monitoring the coolant in the funnel.

5.A sudden drop in the funnel level indicates the elimination of air in the system.
Shut off the engine and let it cool for 10 minutes.

6.Crack open the degas bottle cap enough to allow the coolant level in the funnel to drop to within 1 inch of the bottom of the funnel.
Tighten the cap.

7.Remove the funnel

8.Add coolant in the degas bottle to the full coolant line.

Repeat the fill procedure if necessary.

Leave the cap off after filling and get in car...turn on the heat full blast and hold the rpm's at about 3k for a few minutes...that will burp your system.

I wouldn't recommend holding the car at 3 grand for a couple minutes. It'll be blowing out coolant faster than you imagined! LOL

Just pull the cap off while the car is cold, start it up and let it idle for a minute or two, give her a couple decent revs and it should be ready to go.

Thanks for the help...I went out and did it, went pretty smooth except for the excess purging out.

Negative Dan04Cobra Revving it to about 3 grand is correct. You need a funnel kit that attaches to the engine to properly burp a coolant system. All mechanics do this regardless of make because if there is a large bubble in your coolant system, it’s going to show up while you’re driving not when you’re sitting at idle. So you have to mimic that environment by revving the engine to get the Coolant flowing through the thermostat. I’ve seen huge bubbles show up 15 minutes after revving the engine. Every engine is different just make sure you have front
