Make sure one of the hoses didn't come off your intake. That sounds like a really bad intake leak.

now i just replaced all the plugs. it idles fine now. better than before, but now it still misses when i get above 1700 rpms. it still has all of its power it seems like, but it goes in and out... are the coils the next step here or should it just go to the dealer before i get to deep into it?

I had almost the same things goin on in my 02 GT about a month ago. Turned out it was bad gas. I just ran it till it was completely empty, filled back up (went an octane rating higher) and all was fine. That happened to my dad also in his Olds...

I dont think it would hurt to try that. Worth a shot before you rip apart your car and take it to the dealer.

If it's missing, you should be getting a misfire code(s). When I had an issue last year, I popped codes every time. Are you throwing a CEL?

IDK,but I'd wager they aren't too cheap.Honestly, after gassing it up again,if that doesn't fix it I would take it to the dealer,it could get very expensive for you if you just start changing stuff untill you find it.
