How about this one guys. I pulled a 2001 camaro SS on the highway last week. He was a buddy of mine and he just got it. 3am with clear roads. We went 3 times and i pulled him each time. Wtf is up with that?? Camaros overrated?

dont underestimate the ls motor. they are a beast compared to our little 2v. but a 4v on the other hand is neck and neck. i agree either he cant drive or your hidin some mods.
oh yea lightnins have no top end. ive raced a few from a 20 roll and from a 50 roll. it was neck and neck from 50 and he just left me like i was standin still at 20.

BUt people have to think, the lsx is a 5.7L and has alot better valve flow. Has 1 liter and then some on are 4.6L 281's.....for what we have we doo damn good.
But dont get me wrong lsX rock....

My boss has an 03 Lightning, and i proved to him that a GT can beat him. A stock Lightning runs like 14.1 and a stock GT runs 13.89, well i raced my boss, he has the 8 PSi pully anhd Diablosport tuner tun3ed to performance. well i caught up with him an raced him, well i took him in first and second then he was about to catch up in thirt until i hit third. he was SOOOOOOO mad because he apid like 28,l000 for a brand new Lightning in 03 and i paid 17,000 last year and he has a supercharger with 8 PSI and he still couldn't tke me. I know the numbers look right to beat me but he has not enough HP with a LOT of TORQUE.

Why did you go into 4th as opposed to dropping down into 3rd? Do you have gears? With the stock gears I can drop it down into 3rd and you get much better pull up to 100mph, then shift to 4th.

You can do that because of your 4v, which spins up aroudn 6400... Like I can 
... The GT 2v stops making power around 5400 so that would just be stupidity on thier part to do that...
The lightnings are torque monsters, and are gearing for exactly that reason. You race tune a stock lightning and it's totally different. Remember, they're also made stock for towing too.

Shat I downshift to 2nd and let my RPM's up around 5500. Pulls as good as im gonna get with stock gearing. I wouldnt even say it was a race since it wasnt from a stop or a slower speed. Whenever I rool I get down to like 20 and then go. Fock traffic..they can wait

My Freinds dad has a lightning, and ever since I got my bullitt we have wanted to race. So theres this bridge around here its about a 1/4 mile long and we raced from a dig twice, first time i missed 3rd. It didnt really count. Second time we raced and I was a little less than a half car length behind the whole time. I also had three passengers in my car also.
