Ok so lastnight I was comming home on the interstate when this black Lightning comes up beside me as I'm doing about 70.
He just sits there dead even with me for about 1 minute so I get the feeling like he wants to smoke my ***.
I'm thinking that he is gonna do just that since I have my windows up and my radio going and I can hear his exhaust still.
I sped up a little then he sped up so again I sped up a little and he did the same thing.
I dropped back down to 70 and he did the same........so I was like screw it "if I lose I lose".
I dropped it down to 4th and started to pull away and as soon as I did he gave it gas.
To my surprise I kept on pulling away. I threw it into 5th and was about 1 car and half away and couldnt pull away any further. I guess it was good though cause I looked down and was doing 130 and scared the crap out of myself. So my question is do you guys think he was just messing or did I really get him? My mods that I have are nothing big.

More then likely, yes, but lightnings arent meant for rolls especially 70mph+ rolls. Could be either one in this case, but my guess is that it was a real race and you edged him out.


High speed rolls in Lightning=crap.

My friend has a lightning, it's a dog at high speeds (stock). They're killer from a stop though. I'll bet he was racing, wonder what his mods were. You can certainly make those trucks scream.

Why did you go into 4th as opposed to dropping down into 3rd? Do you have gears? With the stock gears I can drop it down into 3rd and you get much better pull up to 100mph, then shift to 4th.

Shat I downshift to 2nd and let my RPM's up around 5500. Pulls as good as im gonna get with stock gearing. I wouldnt even say it was a race since it wasnt from a stop or a slower speed. Whenever I rool I get down to like 20 and then go. Fock traffic..they can wait

He was probably trying,and stock.Stock Lightnings don't trap any better than stock new edge GTs.

How about this one guys. I pulled a 2001 camaro SS on the highway last week. He was a buddy of mine and he just got it. 3am with clear roads. We went 3 times and i pulled him each time. Wtf is up with that?? Camaros overrated?

My buddy has a Lightning. The have no top end. He took it to 120 (where the spedo stops) and it basically had nothin'
