Default long tube headers and O2 sensors

Hey guys,
I was hoping some of you high speed brainiacs out there could educate me about long tube headers and all the O2 sensors, etc. Do you then run O2 harness extensions for all four sensors or just 2? Do you have to run MIL eliminators for 2 of them? Does the engine need all four to run properly (or be emissions legit), or just 2?

Bottom line is I don't want to run MIL Eliminators at all.

Questions, Questions and more questions. Shed some light please. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Also, if your from Texas, do you know how our great state feels about all this emissions crap and our cars? Unfortunately I AM in an emissions testing county. Thanks again.

You can just put simulators on the backs. Shouldnt affect emissions

There are two total front o2 sensors for the headers, one on each side. There are two total rear o2 sensors in the rear (on the mid pipe), one on each side. Depending on the header design you may or may not need extenders.

You have to have the front (header) o2 sensors installed and they need to function properly. MILs are used on the rear two o2s to prevent the check engine light from coming on if you're running an o/r mid pipe.

If you don't want to run MILs you need a catted mid pipe or a hand held tuner to turn the rear 02s off.

Do the O2 sensoe bungs have to be placed at certain distances from the cats to read properly? I ask because I'm gonna have to have a custom Catted Xpipe fabbed up. Thanks.

as of what i can remember the rear sensor shouldnt be any closer than 4 inches from the cat. if you want to run rear sensors that is. extensions will have to be used and unless you chop up your stock exhaust you will have to buy cats. if your doing all that work get a good set of high flow cats to make it all worth it.
