is it worth it for a new throttlebody?
My 02 gt has the C&L trueflow cold air intake, i was thinking about completing the intake with this kit http://www.rpmoutlet.com/musv8asp.htm the one for 199, They advertise 20more hp would I really get close to those numbers, and whats the main reason for this mod? Throttle response and will it sound any different?

throttle response and airflow you will be lucky if you see 5rwhp from most brands a lot of times the advertise those gains with other unknown mods and other variables never will you see 20 from that

With a t/b and plenum combo you might see 5-10 whp on a boltons car IF you count the CAI as well. I would definatly not expect more than 15 (absolute max) with everything from the filter to the plenum replaced.
If I was gonna do it again, I think I would have skipped most of the boltons, other than the filter itself. On my car it just didn't seem to make alot of difference.

i agree, and i too would have skipped the boltons and went striaight to a blower. and then went through all the bolt ons and then the motor.

I ended up wasting a pretty penny on intake boltons simply because the vortech stuff takes over for it. I still have a C&L kit complete from filter to the intake pipe in the garage that I cannot use.

I hate to say it, because I spent close to 800 bucks on my intake setup (before the blower) but I would be willing to bet I could take someones car, swap all the intake boltons on and back off (without telling you) and you could not even tell the difference.
Its always hard to tell when you know they are on there, cause your looking for and hoping for a differnece, but I have a hard time beliving than anyones but dyno can tell 10-15 WHP.

i thought the 75mm accufab was useable on the centri setup. all u need is the pipin to go to the t/b from the blower and that should come in the kit. correct me if im wrong though.
