I have a 2000 GT, I just changed my passenger side caliper, it said in the book not to let any air in when removing the banjo bolt... i found this impossible to plug right away, and consequently as I figured I got air in the line... I didn't try bleeding the brakes because the book said that models equipped with ABS could not be properly bled with out a "very expensive specialty tool", what this tool could be I have no clue... but the brakes need to be bled nonetheless! From what I have read from other posts it seems it IS possible to bleed the brakes.... so can it be done or do I need this so called "very expensive specialty tool"? Thanx in advance for any info!

I think the "very expensive tool" that they mention is a manual brake bleeder/vacuum bleeder which is just a Mighty-Vac kit with the proper accessorys. Anyway, even with ABS you can still bleed the brakes the old fashioned way with someone pumping the brake pedal and holding it while someone else opens the bleeder and then closes it before letting the pedal come back up, just take your time. It will probably take about 10 shots to get the air out. I always use a very small funnel to fill the caliper as much as possible before connecting the fitting. For future reference, whenever you remove a banjo fitting just slide a clean piece of 1/4, 5/16 or 3/8 hose ( depending on the banjo fitting) into the hole as you remove the bolt and it won't lose much or any fluid while your doing the other stuff, good luck.
