looking at your sig, I hope it meant to say "chin spoiler" and not "chin spooge".
Problem solved.[:@]

The K&N is CARB certified, but it's also $300 worth of plastic crap, IMO.

I'd swear the BBK is has CARB #.....
I looked up the BBK cold air and it specifically says NOT California legal. It would pass the sniffer, all cold airs would...its that getting the CARB certification costs the company alot of money and BBK chose not to do so.

Could you post the link to where it specifies that the BBK 1718 CAI isn'tCA smog legal? I can't find where it says it is CARB legal but I can't find where it says it isn't CARB legal.

I've had mine on through two smog inspections and passed no prob both times.

I really dont think that they even do emissions checks in Iowa/Illinois. If they do it is only to cars that are smoking like crazy.

I'm in CA too, before you goto another shop, just call them and tell them what you have, some people are less stringent (they may check the carb website for legality of parts) if not go and email bbk, have them send you out another carb cert

oh and if you live near the bay area just pm me, I have my stock airfilter I could just let you borrow it for the smog

why not just get the carb number for a k&n kit? i doubt they'll know the diff.

AND on second not id ditch that BBK Hot air intake, they are right up there on the ****ty list. Either get a Fipk or a JLT cold air.
