o/r X or H and emissions
as of now i am not sure on gettin an X or H and catted or off road. i have read that X gives better flow so i figured more people would go with that but seems the majority have an H and they sell more header+H pipes then they do X so why is that? also i live in MD and i am pretty sure u have to get emissions tested every 2 years so an o/r pipe would not work right? but then i also read about new MIL sensors? and o2 sensors which turn the light off which says something si wrong. If i got the o/r and then the sensors would that work and pass emmisions or does that just trick me from not seein the light but doesnt do anything. sorry everything is so chopped up just wonderin about a few things. thanx (and as of now i have flowmaster mufflers installed)

X pipes give a tiny bit more hp up top. H pipes are liked for their sound. Its best to go for sound when buying exhaust components. The hp numbers are all gonna be about the same so pick a combo that sounds good to you.
As for emissions. MIL eliminators will stop the cel from coming on. I have no idea what kind of emissions MD does. If its ODB II and not a sniffer or visual test you should pass fine as long as there is no cel on.
The best thing to do is buy a hand held tuner. You can turn off the rear o2s permanently. MILs have a habit of failing. The tuner will also allow you to adjust other parameters of your vehicle. If you go with a hand held tuner, find a local shop that does custom tunes and find out what software they use. Then purchase your tuner. The only downside to a hand held tuner is the price, about 400 bucks compared to 60 bucks for MILs.

i have an O/R X on my car and love it. but since u have flows, i would suggest an H be cause the X is gonna be kinda raspy. As for getting an O/R pipe, you need to find out about the emissions in ur state.

hey man . I live in MD also , they just do OBD2 test . I've heard some catted highflow pipe's will also trigger cel . I had mil's on my 98gt & they worked fine but some dont . I would do what Mark recommended , get the tuner . I have o/r x-pipe & XC2 to turn off cel & have NO problems w/ emissions , its always fastpass .

in feb or march i will be gettin a Kenne Bell s/c and they say not to get a tuner because it comes with one so should i not get a tuner and just the MIL or get a tuner and not mess with any performance things
