How do I remove the hood cowl (black plastic filler piece under the wiper arms) without breaking it or the attaching clips? This piece makes chirping sounds at 65 MPH and I understand you have to remove it and then lubricate the attaching clips to eliminate the chirping.

from what i can remember, just remove the windshield wipers (a small pin, just pull out on it and pull up on the wiper arm and it should pop off)...then there are about 8 (?) or so bolts on the inside firewall side, remove those...i had to do it to remove my windishield washer system (yes...contributes to the 350 weight loss[8D]) Removing it is a pain, i accidently cracked a small piece, its very fragile and super expensive to replace...but i think thats it[&:]
