RE: I Really Hate To Do This To You, But...
I personally was looking more at the Procharger myself. I have ridden in both kinds of cars and the centri car is much more streetable and will get you better mileage because you can stay out of boost if you want too. Also you do have to spool it for longer than building boost in a roots/twin screw style but if set up just a little differently you can make boost just as fast. The main advantage I see for the centrifugal over the roots is the lack of heat soak on the charger. Because the roots/twin screw sits directly on top of the engine it is much more prone to bad heat soak which in turn lowers boost and can hurt the engine. The centri sits off to the side surrounded on all sides by moving air greatly helps prevent heat soak on the charger

Turbonetics or hellion turbo FTW
Turbonetics or hellion turbo FTW
I think its just that you cannot spin a stock 2v motor like you can a 4v one, and the car just seems to bog and then make power all at once like a supra. I may be totally mistaken about this, but it just seems like on a stock engine the speed and 1/4 mile times are not as impressive.
One thing I am 100 percent sure of, if we start with the same budget and you get a hellion or turbonetics kit, while I get a supercharger kit and spend the rest of the money any way I like, the blown car is going to put busslengths on the turbo one.
