Congrats on getting tuned and your mods. They dyno seems a bit high though. The tq is what I find a bit high. I did 254rwtq. I am nonPI though so I would expect you to be in the neighborhood of about 275ish. Maybe a little more but over 325 is a bit high. It will make more sense whether you were on a mustang dyno, dynojet, etc. Some are more realistic than others. That 13.7 in the 1/4 is real nice though so you are doing something right.

Either way, congrats w/ the dyno and have fun w/ that car.

Thanks I definitely plan on having more fun with the car....it's my baby.

I just got off the phone with the guy from ELD where I got my tune. He said the dyno is a "dynocomp".....at least that's what it sounded like to me...I asked him twice. He also said those numbers are legit and that they don't "fudge" the numbers at all. I'm just repeating what he said so don't start yelling at me saying the numbers are bull****, haha. Does this info help at all?????

Either way, the car feels great after the gears and tune. Can't wait to see my new times at the track next year!

From what I read on this post last night I didn't think that your numbers were ridicuosly high. Impressively high, not ridiculously

So, I'll just say congrats, and that I am jealous

You are correct. It is the difference between a Dyno, where you tune the motor in the car on rollers or hub mount dyno's or getting an engine dyno'd outside the car on an engine dyno (Looks like a big engine stand with a mount for the engine to bolt to for the readings, kinda like a transmission). Two seperate types of dyno's.

i would expect in the neighborhood of maybe 270 rwhp

thats giving you 230 stock
20 for full exhaust
10 for full intake
10 for tuner

and i think that might even be overestimating it just a tad.

so yea...thats why every1 is blown away with your 287 figure. maybe you have a factory stunner lol.

Maybe it is a factory stunner. I just know I have the dyno sheet in my hand and I'm reading it with my own two eyes.

Back to my original question of "are these good gains"......I would have to say YES judging by everyone's reactions.

And no one ever answered my question if all dynos post the RWHP opposed to the HP at the crank. I was under the impression that all Dynos show the RWHP and RWT....so correct me if I'm wrong.

The important thing to notice on these dyno sheets is where they found that extra TQ and power. It was pulled from down low which is really gonna help your overall powerband. Looks like your definately gonna be able to feel the difference in the way that thing pulls for you. Good stuff.

Cool, thanks for all the helpful info phantom1. This is a little off topic, but since you mentioned the power band I was curious about something. I've raced at the track before, but I'm no where near a professional and I was wondering if I'm supposed to shift where the HP peaks or do I still take it up to the red line. I know it's probably a newbie question, but it's cool cuz I am a Newbie, lol.

I've been a member for quite a while now, and never posted until now. After reading some of you guys' posts on these dyno numbers that some of the others have, why is that everyone is soo quick to disbelieve and start crap? ...Until some of you got *smacked* when he produced the sheet.
Why not just give a man some props --Black_03GT, nice numbers man-- instead of finding excuses why his car couldn't produce numbers like that. Kinda sounds like the GTO crowd over here now...

Thanks xrioooo! I usually don't post either, but I finally got my car dynoed after all the mods and I was excited about the numbers. The funny thing is that I wasn't sure if the numbers were low, good, or great. Then everyone starts telling me it's impossible for me to have the numbers the dyno produced. As I stated before, I don't know a damn thing about dynos really, but the sheet is what it is. The real test will be at the track though when I can get some good runs in. I'm really hoping to get into the low 13's with some practice.
