Naw i just crank that bitch and floor it outa the drive way. I usually hold her at 6500 RPMs with the clutch in and when i smell the smoke i let off. God i wonder why i cracked 3 blocks already. Oh WELL.

If you couldnt tell i was completley joking. I usually get up go out side start the car, and come back inside and let her warm up for a few minutes or until she drops to 700.

In summer/spring let idle drop and baby it till normal operating temp. In winter wait till I can see out windows, then baby it. After everything is warm, I get on it once or twice then im done.. I baby my bitch

If by "warm up" you mean do I take it easy until the temp gauge is at normal position yes.

But I am not going to let it idle for 15+ minutes to get up to full temp.

thats why i hate the winter. Because every week i go outside and start my car wait till it warms up and come back the week after. The crappy thing is i have to sit out in the garage for a freakin hour just the turn the damn car off also just to come out and do it again next week.

I usually let it warm up for a couple of mins after starting. Then when I drive I accelerate slowly and keep the rpm's around 2k until its in normal operating temp.

I always let mine idle up to regular temp.. I never get on it hard when its cold and If I do have to go somewhere before its warm I'll baby it around town... its not to good of an idea to really get on a boosted motor when the oil temp is way down though...
Wow you must wait awhile. My car takes FOREVER to get to normal operating temps. Plus I'm too paranoid of someone jacking my car while it's warming up., if I leave it unattended. I could start it up, take it out of the garage sit in the car and wait for 10-15 mins but that means 10-15 mins less of sleep in the morning. [sm=sleeping.gif]
thats why i use my spare key. I just lock the door and go in the house for a while. play my xbox 360 or something then come back out with my spare key and proceed on with my day

It's not a daily driver for me, so it's a little different. In general, I wait about a minute or so, then start rolling.

when allowing your car to warm up you want to wait until the temp is about half of what it is at normal driving. Once it is there you should be safe to drive (normal) it takes the car a little before the oil reaches viscosity. Allowing the temp to reach half the norm has always been a good rule of thumb for me.
