How much are you looking to spend? I got my kit complete with tune for 3905.

Honestly, I cannot see buying one from ebay. I would NEVER trust a canned tune from a ebay store, and your going to have to pay for the tune and dyno time anyway... why not just buy from a reputable shop?

Ive got stock headers and believe it or not i like them. They actually keep the motor and bay cooler with a modest amount of power loss. When you start getting into the 500rwhp range 3 or 4 hp makes no difference. I ran 12lbs of boost on a stock motor for 2 yrs. Finally broke it but i raced the track every weekend punishing that thing. And i still have the same tr3650 that i have been beating since i owned the car. I do have a king cobra clutch though.

So if you put a blower on an absolutely stock car what would your first bolt on be....... headers?

I just purchased my kit used from ebay and the guy I got it from was awesome, he was very knowledgeable and answered tons of questions (one way I was testing him) and also packaged my stuff excellently. Got my whole kit for 1600 shipped, all I needed to buy was a svt focus fuel pump (bc i didnt wanna use the walbro the kit came with) and a chip/tune (which I would do anyway unless i got my kit from modularpowerhouse). Oh and some NGK BR7EF's, total costs came out to right around $2400 for everything including chip/tune.

Now I need to get some damn boost and fuel pressure gauges.

BTW....ONE MORE DAY UNTIL INSTALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! weeeeeee

At 12 PSI your looking at something like a 30-40 WHP difference between the stock manifolds and your headers. You will not see a significant temperature loss in the engine bay between LTs and your stockers.

Even on a boltons only car your looking at a 10-15 WHP gain. I honestly could be a bit on the conservative side with my 30-40 WHP estimate.

THere can be NO argument about the gains with LTs and a blower car.

A supercharger..

Honestly though, on a budget, everyones first bolton should be gears.

You can destroy any of the stock 5speeds if you get ignorant even with a stock engine, but if you don't beat the hell out of it you should be fine for a long long time.

I know of at least one former forum member that is stll running his stock 3650 with over 2 years of punishment making over 400 WHP. It see's frequent track use and he manages to pull the front tires off the ground quite a bit on launch.

Espcially with a basically stock car + supercharger you should be fine. Like I said, just use common sense. Refuse to powershift, swap out for synthetic fluid, and you should be aboslulty fine.
+1 on my bolton car i destroyed my tr3650 from a bad clutch and shifting like a jackass
