I have a 2003 mustang GT and i was just wondering how fast it would actually run...i have had it up to 130..

i dont think they have speed limiters... but i doubt you could go faster then 150 due to the aerodynamics.

When I got it up to 130 it felt like the rate of increase was slowing down....i heard it was around 150 and just didnt know if that was true...do you both know if the performance chips that say the 25 hp increase would do much for power...?

There was no limtier on my car, but it runs out of power at about 150.

The chip will do virtually nothing for a otherwise stock car. Generic canned tunes are junk.

You don't need to go faster than 150 MPH anyway. Your stock GT was not built to drive at these speeds, and only place you will get up that fast is open (public) roadway which is dumb. No reason to be out there blasting to 150+ MPH.

I will admit that I took my car to max about 3 times, but after that it was enough for me. I have not had the car over 120 MPH (max of 4th gear) since the supercharger went on. After 4th, I am done.

Thanks for the reply. I have yet to take my car to the max...a little worried about cops. I usually dont drive it fast. 130 once was enough.

i have read before that the top speed is 144mph on a new edge GT. I have had my 2000 up to 142mph before and the rpms were near the red so im not sure how much more if woulve gone. That was a long time ago though. No more high speed runs. 0-100 is super for me.

if you add more hp or a stronger engine it will go over 155 mph
