Drag radials are suited for people that want to drive the car to and from the track and not put too many miles on the street. You might get 8-10K out a set if you don't burn them out all the time.

BFG's: Better drag strip performance with less burnout time required. Crappy in the rain and wear out faster than Nittos

Nittos: Require more burnout time. Better in the rain. Longer lasting.

We just sell the BFG's right now but I still recommend the Nittos to people that want to get extra miles out of their tires.

ORIGINAL: doughboy4.6

if you are going to make any real power go with slicks and keep street tires I blow mickey thompson DR away cant get them to hook I can only get them too hook from a 15 roll
There is no way you should be smoking off the tires like that with the MTs.

What air pressure are you running? How are you launching the car? You definatly should not be smoking them off from a roll.

My car will blow off the nittos if I go from a roll (or a dumped clutch obviously) on the nittos, but if they are warm (and the street is too) on a good traction surface they actually hook really well. I run about 18-22 PSI in them on the street.

If the tires are cold (not talking about a burnout here, just haven't driven them around to warm up) and the streets are too they will instantly burn off, but your MTs should not do this.
