Default $2,000.00 Fox vs. New Edge Gt

So I have my gears/tuner sitting in my room waiting to install next week, but I am wondering whether or not I should put any more money into the car after this. So lets say you have 2k to put into each car and for arguments sake they are both in good mechanical order. What would you do. What parts would you use and what sort of power gains do you think you would achieve out of the 2.

I realize I posted something similiar to this a few weeks back, but damn it Im bored lol.

I had a similar dillema. My choices were to SC or buy a fox and destroy it finding out how it worked.

Upon popular suggestion I chose to SC the 2000. It was a good move.

I would just mod the New Edge. It's a lot newer so its in way better condition and they just flat out look better. Mod the New Edge and you'll have a quick/fast car that also looks good.

thats a large part of my motivation. Having something to tear down and learn from while not worrying about having a car to drive to school/work.

GL finding someone who was interested in this like we are. I couldn't find a soul. It took me 2 months to find someone dedicated enough to help me mount my SC.

I would rather have a stock new edge then a 400hp fox... there just not reliable, and they dont look half as good as the new edge... just my opinion.

Just to make this clear.... If I got the fox it would be a fun/toy car not a dd. I would be keeping my 03 gt as a daily driver. I was more interested in how the cars would perform with the budget I laid out.

Seriously, Ive had both, and the 5.0 does respond better to mods. i've had several 5.0's apart, and they are a very good motor to learn on, and whoever said they are not reliable is straight wrong, the 5.0 is fu**ing bullet proof. i really like the new edge looks, but if i were building a car and it could not be my daily driver, thats what i would do. you could do more stuff. i havent had a 4.6 apart yet, so i cant compare how difficult it is.

Dollar for dollar, the Fox will outrun the New Edge. The 5.0's are just a lot less expensive to get the power out of. Plus, Fox's are a lot lighter than the New Edge.

A Fox will be as reliable as it's built. Just like any other car.
