good point....like i said that irs kills the cobra....

Your the one saying everyone is wrong, sounds like your the one who thinks they know everything. But since I've owned a '00 GT[wow 5 less hp than the Bullitt] and the '01 Cobra,I don't know anything about what I'm talking about!!!!
first off that was sarcasim. and how am i sounding like i know everything all i did was show you the website. Also a 00 GT is far from a bullitt (suspension, exhaust, intake, much more look it up). now there is no way that a bullitt is faster than a cobra it's just quicker, that is why the bullitt ran at a slower MPH than the cobra, but the bullitt had a faster 60' time because it is quicker off the line. if that race was just 50 foot longer the cobra probably would have won. everyone is like how can a cobra lose with 320 HP and the Bullitt just 275, it's not always about the HP it's how you get it to the ground.

in case you didn't go to this page http://www.mustang50magazine.com/fea...ch/index1.html
That is a complete joke.

There is simply NO way you can 1.7 a 60' on a bullitt/GT or even mach 1 with the stock tires. I can see a bullitt running that time with a 1.7... but it won't happen on the stock tires, even with john force at the wheel. Hell, I would be estatic if I get a 1.7 out of my car with 400+ WHP and drag radials....

Take magazine times with a grain of salt.

would not take many mods for the bullitt/gt to run with an n/a cobra.

I don't think anyone can argue against that.

However, evertying else aside, even with a slightly better driver in the bullitt/GT, assuming the cobra has someone in it that has driven a 5speed before it should not be very close.

Put it this way, I was making around 280 WHP before the blower, maybe a little higher than a n/a cobra, and it wasn't even close to being a race with a stock GT. Even with just the boltons and 260~ WHP I was simply spanking the hell out of stock GT's and bullitts. At that point, with a decent driver cobra's were very close to my car, with me having a slight edge.

My car with full boltons vs a stock bullitt was definatly not a drivers race.

i guess not with full bolt ons lol.. look i aint saying the bullitt is fast as crap because i know its not that fast... but in a short race i would take the bullitt over the cobra... if its from a roll i would take the cobra...

Come on man are you guys bein real?? It would only take a few mods to run with a N/A Cobra. Well in that case it would only take a few mods on the Cobra to blow the doors on your slightly modded Bullit/ GT or should I say Bulls**t. Save your breath this whole thread is a joke. A cobra will annihilate a bullet from a roll, and it will beat it from a dig too. COBRA OWNS THE BULLET!!!

I bet a set of 4.10s, drag radials, and maybe a set of LTs and a midpipe would get it done.

I was waxing stock N/A cobras with just full boltons pretty bad, from a roll or a stop. The cobra is definalty faster stock for stock, but its still only a 13.50 or so car.

there are these things that are 1350 feet long with little lights at one end and a giant sign at the other
What is this 1350 foot long thing you speak of?

I know of something that's like that, but it's only 1320 feet long.. maybe they're related somehow?

As for this Bullit thread, someone said they WOULDNT pay 5$ over the GT price for one, hell, I would...that way in 40 years from now, I'll have something a little bit less common than your average GT. Plus, if I ever had to sell it, the resale would be much better than a common GT.

Race 0-60 -Evenish
1/8th Mile -Cobra Pulling
1/4 Mile -Cobra Pulling Further
Roll Race from any Speed -Cobra Never Stops Pulling

*by the way, I'm pretty sure the 99,01 Cobras had 3.27's*
