Default New Mustangs in 2007!

now i don't know how much you guys research this, so most of you probably already know. in the latest motor trend mag there is an article about the new bullitt which I guess they are going to go with instead of the mach. now personally i think it looks horrible. all it looks like is a v6 with bullitt wheels and no spoiler. i really hope they do something else. they didn't give a power numbers though. then the Boss which i already heard about that has fords new 5.0 hurricane motor and that it will have 425-435 HP tuned. then i went on to read how they are going to switch back to that hurricane motor for all the GT's in 2008 whcih made me soooo happy. a GT with 425 HP!!!!!!!! now we can hang with the camaros!! oh yeah and they are coming out with a whole new GT in 2010. I WANT A BOSS!!!!! just thought i share, it made me so happy that ford is actually going to do something with the GT.

the new base camaro will have an HO V6 be somewhere in the range of 260-300 HP. and with the Z/28 being a 6.2L V8 @ 450 HP and a detuned 6.2L in the SS, Ford needs to come up with something close.

If history is correct GM won't move very many units. Proof is in the pudding. Camaro died because of cost. It was too pricy to build and too pricy to sell. The average joe in 2002 would rather be a little slower and be happy with a $25,000 GT then a $31,500 Camaro. Hence, this is the reason the GTO is done now, it was like $37,000+ for the damn starting price and nobody bought any. I'm not saying that Camaro wont sell at all, but I doubt there will be very many big bad 6.2s prowling the streets since they will probably push $40,000, and the detuned one will probably still float around $35,000. Mean while, that same joe from 2002 is happy once again being a little slower and paying $10,000 less. GM will never learn.

hey but atleast they are gonna be close to the camaro with the 5 liter. 15 horse aint all that much and they are doing it with a way bigger motor. hopefully ford with come out with a new bigger mustang motor or maybe a beefed up version of the 4.6 since they did it with the 5.0. Also i read that the mustangs in 2008 are going to change in looks a little so that they look similar to the GT500. but then in 2010 they with completely change so they say. the only thing that worries me is they don't give a price for the bullitt (also don't give any HP #'s or what engine will be in it) or the Boss i hope it isn't more than 33 large cause i don't think they will sell that great.

Whatever happends, I would bet that you'll still be able to get a cheap V8 Mustang and have the OPTION to go big bad and blown with SVT and the others like the new Shelby GT (not to be mistaken for the GT500). While I wouldn't doubt that you'll be stuck with a V6 in the Camaro for the same price as the base V8 Mustang. Ford seems to have had a nice stable of low-to-mid-to-high-to-exotic upgrades lately and its really nice. I look forward to the Shelby GT (should have named it GT-350 IMO) in the coming months with a upgraded 325 HP and some cool body extras.
