Default 4.10s on an auto

Anyone with an auto trans regret putting 4.10s on?

Does highway driving become a pain in the @ss?

Thanks

its all personal preference. do you plan on FI in the future. basically if it were me i would go with 3:90's...thats what i have in m 5sp and luv em. my car club vp also has 3:90's in her auto and said she wouldnt trade for nothin. so its all up to you

No regrets here. I love my 4.10's, we will have to see how much I love them after I go FI though[8D] As far as highway use goes, I don't mind it at all.

4.10s will be fine unless you trap over 115, 3.90s are like 100 rpms less so i would just do it right,

I've got 4.30's in my auto. I like em for short trips around the city, but HATE em on the interstate or for any speed over like 60. Because I tach too high up for long periods of travel. Plus it seems like my tranny has some trouble with the gears. It's sloppy if I am on it when it tries to shift. Wasnt like that before the gears from what I was told. But once again it's personal preference. I dont recommend them for any sort of distance outside of city traveling.

i wonder how substantial the difference is from 4.30s-->4.10s

If its a huge pain on the highway i might not want to go that high of a ratio then

personally i luv my 3:90's...since im goin FI i definitly didnt want 410's but wasnt sure on 373's either. so i chose to have the upper hand on the FI boys with 373's and blowers. if you wanna your car pull a little bit better with not a substantiate loss in gas then go 3:90. personal preference though...

I love my 4.10's they are fine for a DD unless you plan on longer trips on the thruway (meaning hundreds of miles, not a quick 30 min commute)

yeah mileage is gonna drop with the gears-i dropped about 30 miles to a tank and i do half city half highway driving-And a side note-traction will be an issue after the gears are in-so id invest in some tires sooner than later-i got the mickey drs-absolutely the best mod i've ever done for the car-launch at 1600 and the cars shoots out like ana animal
